A Hand-Painted Cyan Vessel Sink That Turns Your Bathroom Into a Gallery

Inspired by traditional Chinese porcelain aesthetics, this cyan ceramic washbasin features delicate hand-painted petal motifs that flow across the glossy glaze. Each petal is painted by hand by skilled artisans in Jingdezhen — the porcelain capital of China, with over 1,700 years of ceramic-making history.
The soft cyan-blue glaze is fired at 1300°C, creating a luminous, watery finish that feels both timeless and modern. It's not just a sink — it's the centerpiece of your bathroom.

72 Steps. 10 Days. One Sink.

This is not a factory product. It is the result of over 72 careful steps, performed by hand, taking 7-10 days from raw clay to finished piece.
Step 1 — Sourcing the Clay. Our artisans dig kaolin clay from the mountains surrounding Jingdezhen. They test the soil by hand, feeling the texture, testing the purity. Only the finest clay is selected — the same material that built the city's imperial kilns centuries ago.
Step 2 — Throwing by Hand. Each sink is thrown on a spinning wheel by a master potter. The wheel spins at just the right speed — too fast and the clay collapses, too slow and the shape is uneven. One wrong move and hours of work are ruined.
Step 3 — Drying Slowly. The clay must dry naturally for 3-5 days in a temperature-controlled room. If it dries too fast, it cracks. If it dries unevenly, it warps. Patience is the most important material in the studio.
Step 4 — The First Firing. The raw clay goes into the kiln at 900°C. This "biscuit firing" hardens the clay so it can be painted. If the temperature rises too quickly, the piece explodes in the kiln. Every firing is a risk.
Step 5 — Hand-Painting the Petals. This is where the soul of the piece comes alive. The artisan sits for hours, brush in hand, painting each petal freehand. A single shaky line, one wrong pressure — and the entire sink is ruined. There are no second chances. No stencils. No decals. Just steady hands, trained over decades.
Step 6 — Glazing by Hand. The cyan glaze is mixed by hand using a secret family recipe. Each sink is dipped and sprayed layer by layer. Too much glaze and it drips. Too little and the color is flat. The difference between a good sink and a great one is in this step.
Step 7 — The Final Firing. At 1300°C, the glaze melts and flows like glass. The kiln burns for 24 hours straight. We open it the next morning — and hope.

The Cost of Perfection: Our Yield Rate

For every 100 sinks we start with, only about 62 make it to your bathroom.
That means nearly 4 out of 10 sinks are discarded — cracked, warped, or imperfect in some way. This is the hidden cost of true handmade porcelain.
Here's where the losses happen:
Stage Loss Rate What Goes Wrong
Throwing & Drying ~10% Clay cracks while drying, warps out of shape
First Firing (Biscuit) ~8% Pieces explode or crack in the kiln
Hand-Painting ~7% Shaky brushstroke, wrong color, ruined design
Glazing ~5% Glaze runs on the piece, uneven coating
Final 1300°C Firing ~8% Glaze bubbles, warps, discolors, or cracks
Total: ~38% loss. Only 62 out of 100 survive.
The discarded pieces are broken and recycled back into clay. They never reach a customer.
This is why handmade porcelain costs more than factory-made. You're not just paying for the piece itself — you're paying for the 38 pieces that didn't make it.

Why Handmade Matters

A mass-produced sink is identical to every other one. It has no soul. No story.
This sink is different. The slight irregularity in the petal shapes? That's the human hand. The subtle variation in the blue tone? That's the kiln's fire. The tiny mark on the edge? That's the artisan's signature.
When you buy a Homxyceramic sink, you're not just buying a bathroom fixture. You're buying 10 days of one person's life. 72 steps of patience. A piece of Jingdezhen's 1700-year legacy.

What Our Customers Say

"Ordered this for my bathroom remodel. Was nervous about ordering porcelain online — but the packaging was insane. Bubble wrap, foam, wooden crate. Arrived perfect. The cyan glaze is even prettier in person. My plumber said it's the nicest sink he's installed all year." — Marcus T., Texas
"I've bought cheap vessel sinks before and they look flat and plastic-y. This one has depth. The petal pattern isn't printed — you can feel the texture when you run your finger over it. My guests always ask where I got it." — Sarah L., London
"Shipping took about 10 days to California but worth the wait. The sink is heavy, solid, and the color is exactly what I wanted. One tiny note — measure your countertop cutout carefully before ordering. It fits perfectly once I did." — David K., Sydney
"Bought this for our Airbnb. Guests keep asking about it. It holds up really well — we've had it 6 months and it still looks brand new. No stains, easy to wipe clean. Worth every penny." — Emma W., Manchester
"72 steps. 10 days. Only 62 of 100 make it. Yours is one of them."
